Heavy goods vehicles weighing 12 tonnes or more pay tolls in Sweden on all motorways and expressways using the Eurovignette. The latter is valid for as well as Sweden and Denmark, Luxembourg and the Netherlands, by virtue of an agreement between the four countries. The Eurovignette does not include the Oresund facility connecting the cities of Copenhagen (Denmark) and Malmö (Sweden). Oresund consists of a bridge and a tunnel, respectively, there is an overwater and an underwater connection. Toll charges are payable for Oresund for all vehicles.
For the cities of Stockholm and Gothenburg, congestion charges apply to all vehicles as a means of controlling car traffic through the cities depending on the time slot.
